Every name of God in the Bible has its own particular meaning, and in this book Bullinger does deal with every name of God in the Bible. He not only gives the meaning of each name, but also explains how it is used and also lists every occurrence, making this a very useful book for the student of the Bible. He also shows the errors in the ‘Jehovah’ versus ‘Elohim’ theory. This was a relatively new idea in his day but it still continues today and his Biblical arguments against it are as powerful and strong as they were over 100 years ago.

This is a great little book for anyone wanting to understand the significance of the names and titles of God. I have read a number of works on this, or pieces of works that deal with this, and this is one of the most useful that I have found.It is not really an easy read, and Bullinger appears to start many of his sentences as if in the middle of a thought. Also, he makes frequent reference to the Hebrew (which he writes backwards) or Greek words, which makes it more interesting and useful for the serious student with some language acumen, but more challenging for someone without this training or ability. However, this does not really inhibit the usefulness of the book at all to those readers, it just makes it less fluid to read and requires them to maintain a higher level of attention in their reading than might otherwise be needed.
Yet the names & titles are presented in an organized fashion, and he provides ample references for where each name is used and in what way. This makes the book very useful to anyone really wanting to dive into the significance of the names beyond what many other books that attempt to explain this have done.
Therefore, I highly recommend this book to the serious student of this topic, and suggest less-driven readers to search for a different book on the subject.

I love to study Mr.Bullingers works, but of all of his books I have on my ,Divine Names and Titles will not let me change the font size. the font size so small i cannot read this book.

This book opens up the greatness of our God through His names. It is quite scholarly but still beneficial for the ordinary person to read as well. I learned things I didn't know and I recommend you read it. You may learn things you didn't know too.
I love to study Mr.Bullinger's works.
This book by Bullinger is great and I have learned so much. I knew that El Shaddai was "God, the all sufficient One" but I did not know that the King James [I grew up on King James and still enjoy it] translated "El Shaddai" as "God Almighty". How much we miss if we do not study the Hebrew.
Fortunately I do not use so I have no problem with the font size. It would be well worth the money to buy the book.
