**Don’t miss this riveting final installment to T. S. Joyce’s bestselling Boarlander Bears series.**
Clinton Fuller has been burned by love, but that doesn’t stop him from thinking of his first mate and what could’ve been. And when she blows into town, with no memory of him or what happened to her, he does his best to stop history from repeating itself. He’s harboring a curse—his bear—and he isn’t right for anyone anymore, especially not some fragile human with a bright future and a legitimate shot at happiness. He can’t drag her through the mud with him again, but Alyssa isn’t taking no for an answer. And now, his dominant, broken animal is putting her in more danger than she’s ever been. He can’t get her out of his head, and now he’ll have to convince her to run if she wants to survive what broke them apart all those years ago.
Alyssa Dunleavy is having dreams of a boy who saved her once, but when she lays eyes on Clinton, nothing makes sense anymore. Half of her life has been erased from her memories, and now the stories surrounding her accident are clashing with what she sees. But as she gets to know the standoffish Crazy Clinton of the Boarlanders, it becomes obvious he isn’t the sweet boy from her dreams at all, but a half-crazed monster grizzly shifter who is working through some major life changes. Even though he makes it clear she should stay far away from him for safety’s sake, she can’t help but be drawn to his animal magnetism. And now she’s falling head-over-heels for a stranger keeping a mountain of secrets…or maybe he’s no stranger at all.
Content Warning Explicit love scenes, naughty language, and piles of sexy shifter secrets. Intended for mature audiences.

I'm finished with the waterworks. It is no secret that I am a superman of all that is Damon's mountains. Honestly, I knew that I would love Clinton's story. What I did not know is how this story would turn me inside out. Well done. His story was absolutely perfect. Thank you for keeping him real. As I am not a fan of spoilers, I will say that I also truly loved and appreciated the last 2 chapters. From beginning to end, I was on Damon"s mountain. I wasn't reading a story.Product details

Boarlander Cursed Bear Boarlander Bears Book 5 edition by T S Joyce Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
Cursed Bear is the last book in the Baoarlander series as well as the geographical setting it takes place in- Damon's Mountains. It is a beautifully written and wonderfully edited story that enables readers to really connect with the main characters-Clinton/Alyssa. It sent me on an emotional rollercoster from laughing to anger to crying to joy.
I won't go into a synopsis since I am sure there are other reviews here that did. I will however tell you I was sucked in. I loved this book and I found myself really adoring the main male character, hero, Clinton. He broke myheart and ground my assumptions about him into dust. While I love all the charaters that have shown up throughout this expansive series, I have to say Clinton became my move favorite.
His leading lady, Alyssa (aka Shae) is also a compelling character and her attitude is just what our hero bear needs. She has that sassy but fragile thing going on and it was really, really believable. She is absolutely perfect for Clinton and my heart broke for her but it also smiled for her with happiness.
I loved the dialog and this book had some really great one liners that had me in stiches while in other parts it had me in tears and then smiling in happiness.
The ending of this book is wonderful and just perfect for the characters and the end of the series in more ways than one. That is the bittersweet part for me. I'm not ready to leave Damon's Mountains but I know we have other adventures in the world of Ms. Joyce so I've got my bags packed, my tickets purchased and I'm waiting by the door...
This was the perfect ending to this beloved series' of Damon's Mountains. I dont honestly think she could have done it better! I was so happy and pleased! I wasnt sure how Clinton's story would go. He's been the growly, surly, uncooperative, and might as well add saboteur, character since Graybacks. He just got progressively worse. He did begin to soften up about halfway through the Boarlander series and I think she did that to pave the way for his book. He's a complex character and has been through some horrible things. I mean the others have been through some horrible things too but I honestly dont know who's pain is worse. I dont think we can gauge that. Shae/Alysaa is part of his painful past. She was his mate and he found her at age 10! Til she was taken away from him when she was 16ish for 2 years and tortured and God knows what else. She's got no memory, it was erased so she honestly doesnt remember anything past the day she "woke" up at 19. When she comes to Saratoga looking for answers he's quite the ass to her. Pushes her away but he can't stay away. She's his mate so we get to see his softer side. He's not as crazy as he lets on. The things he does...its more of practical jokes and a way for him to cope with things. He's really very sweet and romantic with Alyssa. I really loved their book and the vote on getting their shifter rights back hangs in the balance. Will Alyssa get her memory back? Will she find out everyone including Clinton lied to her? I'm not gonna divulge everything you'll just have to read it.
I was totally unsure if I was going to survive knowing that I was reading the last Damon's Mountain book. Clinton was appropriately the last installment in a group of stories that wended around all the crews on the mountain, Damon himself, and the Breck crew of fire bears.
It was appropriate, because Clinton had been on the Ash and the Gray Back crew before joining the Boarlanders (as well as another bachelor crew elsewhere). Watching him develop through the entire series, it was a joy and also a bit painful to see his story finally arrive. I would say all of the books are standalone, because they each have their own resolution, but in order to fully appreciate any of these books it would behoove the reader to go back to the beginning and read them all in order. I had just finished reading Mason's book (Beast Boar) and went back for a full re-read of the series before this book surprised me a little early, and of course I got it, and read it immediately. It is a lot like Clinton, actually. There are things about it that are frustrating and hard to deal with, and things that are so profoundly touching and surprising you almost immediately forgive the aggravation. Several times while I was reading I just sat back and said, "Well, of course. Everything makes sense, now." The heroine, Alyssa, has so much going on with her, much of which she can't even grasp properly because of a situation in her youth that stole her memories of childhood. I really liked her, and while there may be a reader or two who can't grasp the attraction, I think it is an amazing story of how love will out, no matter what gets in its way, if it's given time to grow... and that sometimes it doesn't look like roses, but dandelions.
I won't spoil this entry to the series by giving away the plot. I know that I have wondered for a long time what made Crazy Clinton click, because he was so pessimistic, depressed, angry, and negative, fighting regularly, cursing, insulting, destructive. Trust me when I tell you that if anyone can make a person like that redeemable, understandable, and ultimately lovable, it is T. S. Joyce.
I'm finished with the waterworks. It is no secret that I am a superman of all that is Damon's mountains. Honestly, I knew that I would love Clinton's story. What I did not know is how this story would turn me inside out. Well done. His story was absolutely perfect. Thank you for keeping him real.
